The Sanctuary “reopens” to the faithful: timetables and appointments

After the long and difficult weeks in which we stayed at home to avoid the spread of the pandemic and we experienced the distance from ecclesial life and also the Eucharistic fast, from Monday 18 May it will be possible to return to active participation in the Holy Mass and the celebration of the Sacraments .

Even the Sanctuary of San Michele, therefore, will reopen to the faithful observing the usual time of the celebrations of the period and in compliance with the safety and health protection rules provided for by the ministerial regulations.

On weekdays the Holy Masses will be officiated at 8.00, 9.30, 11.00 and 16.30; on Sundays and holidays at 7.30, 9.00, 10.30, 12.00, 16.00, 17.30, 19.00.

According to the consolidated streaming schedule, on weekdays morning Lauds will be broadcast at 7.45 am, Holy Mass at 11.00 am, Hour of Mercy (consisting of the Crown of Divine Mercy and animated Eucharistic Adoration) at 3.00 pm, and Vespers at 19.00; on Sunday, the Eucharistic celebrations of 10.30 and 19.00 and the Hour of Mercy at 15.00.

On weekdays the Holy Mass in the Church of the Madonna della Libera will take place at 18.00.

In compliance with health and ministerial provisions, the faithful are asked to observe a behavior of human maturity, civil responsibility and Christian charity.

We therefore ask all those who come to venerate the Archangel to be provided with masks, to use the sanitizers placed at the entrance of the Basilica and to patiently respect the rules relating to spacing (at least 1 meter) and capacity (max 90 people) inside the Sacra Grotta. Furthermore, the exchange of peace and excessive closeness will be avoided while processionally we will go to receive communion.

The Rector, P. Ladislao Suchy
