Golden Jubilee of Consecrated Life: Images

July 16 was a special day for the Shrine community, an occasion of celebration, gratitude, and profound emotion dedicated to the Golden Jubilee of Consecrated Life of a group of Michaelites.

A half-century of dedication, service, and faith lived by figures who have left deep marks on the heart of the priestly mission.

If for some of those celebrated, such as Father Jan Seremak, Father Jan Bieniek, and Father Andrzej Watroba, their ministry was expressed far from our borders—through education, missions, and outreach—for two others, the connection with the Sacred Place of Monte Sant’Angelo is daily and familiar: we are referring to Brother Stanislao Baranowski and Father Ladislao Suchy.

The first is the welcoming face of the Grotto, capable of making every pilgrim feel “at home” thanks to his courtesy, kindness, and tireless ability to listen.

The second is the Rector, a pioneer of the presence of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel in the Celestial Basilica: since 1995, in thirty years of tireless work, he has combined unwavering faith with a far-sighted vision, becoming a point of reference not only for the religious family, but for the entire city.

The solemn Eucharist was celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Domenico D’Ambrosio, who expressed his heartfelt thanks: “In this Basilica, with you, the light of ministry, the kindness of hospitality, and the beauty of liturgical service have shone again. Thank you for what you have given and continue to give every day.”

The Superior General, Father Dario Wilk, also wanted to convey his closeness and that of all the brothers he represents, celebrating the faithfulness of those being celebrated and wishing them to continue walking with their eyes fixed on the dreams God has in store for them.

The renewal of vows, taken fifty years ago, sealed a pact of love that continues to be renewed, inspiring all who cross the threshold of St. Michael’s Cave.
