Easter Monday is an extension of Easter.
The day following the Resurrection is, in fact, humanity’s response to God’s surprise, to His promise of a companionship that will never be lost. In reality, the response belongs to women: for it is to them that the Angel appears and reveals, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here; he is risen.”
The central proclamation of faith is realized in an encounter, arousing wonder, and prompting immediate communication of what has been discovered.
On Monday, April 6th, all Holy Masses will be held in the Basilica.
